In mid-last month, Ms. Yuk sent a lengthy KakaoTalk message to a reporter, complaining of financial hardship and psychological distress, and has been unreachable since. It is reported that there have been no signs of activity, such as phone usage or card payments, indicating she is alive. The message included phrases like, "Rather than living like this..." and "This might be my last message. I apologize for causing you so much worry." She is also known to have left a separate letter to be delivered to her daughter, Jang Yoon-jung.

Ms. Yuk had been under police investigation for investment fraud, accused of showing messenger conversations claiming she had reconciled with Jang Yoon-jung and was on good terms, and then taking tens of millions of won for investment in 'Mister Trot.' However, during the investigation, no traces of her life, such as phone usage or financial transaction records, have been found. Police are now focusing their efforts on locating Ms. Yuk. Lawyer Park Ji-hoon stated, "There is a possibility she may have died, or she might be completely avoiding using her identity," and urged, "This is a very urgent situation, so if anyone knows of her whereabouts, please report it."

In relation to this controversy, Jang Yoon-jung's side has once again clarified her relationship with her mother. Jang Yoon-jung's representatives stated, "I have had absolutely no direct contact with my mother for the past several decades," and "The text messages and investment-related content mentioned on broadcasts are all baseless." They also emphasized that their investment activities are completely unrelated to her and her mother, adding, "We are releasing this statement in case any other victims emerge."
