Sung Hoon & Oh Se Young: Boss's Bold Taste Revealed

Actor Sung Hoon and Oh Se Young are positively considering appearing in the new drama ‘Boss’s Overt Taste’.

‘Boss’s Overt Taste’ is a ‘Taste-Targeting’ romance based on a popular Naver web novel and webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of Kwon Do Hyuk, a chaebol boss who has everything, who coincidentally searches for 'her' from an indie album and becomes entangled with Lee Eun Chae, the vocalist of an indie band.

Sung Hoon was offered the role of Kwon Do Hyuk, the male lead in the drama. Kwon Do Hyuk is an AI expert, but he is portrayed as a character who only trusts data, lacking trust, interest, or empathy towards people.

Oh Se Young was offered the role of Lee Eun Chae, the vocalist of the indie band Indie Are Red. Lee Eun Chae, who has a free-spirited personality, meets Kwon Do Hyuk, whose personality and profession are the complete opposite, and becomes a special presence in his life.

If both actors confirm their appearances, it will be their comeback to romance dramas. Sung Hoon appeared on the variety show ‘I Live Alone’ from 2018 to 2022 and has since focused on acting. He also made special appearances in MBN’s ‘The Perfect Marriage Revenge’ (2023), TVING’s ‘Death’s Game’, and ENA’s ‘I Shopping’. Additionally, he entered the short-form drama market earlier this year with the short drama ‘Careful! I’m Lady Boss’. If he appears in ‘Boss’s Overt Taste’, it will be his first lead role in a full-length romance drama in three years.
