Kim Minseol's First Lead Role Wraps Up Successfully

Actress Kim Min-seol has successfully concluded her first leading role in the MBC daily drama 'The First Man,' leaving a lasting impression.

In the drama, Kim Min-seol played Jin Hong-ju, a character embodying ambition who must obtain whatever she desires, showcasing a three-dimensional performance that shifted between cold charisma and human vulnerability. While she revealed a surprisingly charming, somewhat clumsy side in front of Kang Baek-ho (Yoon Sun-woo), whom she had loved from afar for a long time, she also delicately expressed her wavering emotions between love and desire, thus solidifying the character's narrative.

Particularly in episode 139, which aired on the 1st, Jin Hong-ju's emotions exploded. After securing evidence of Chae Hwa-young (Oh Hyun-kyung)'s attempt to murder Ma Dae-chang (Lee Hyo-jung) with a voice recorder hidden in a brooch, Jin Hong-ju decided to surrender. Upon encountering Chae Hwa-young in the detention center, she unleashed the anger she had suppressed.

"Hey! Chae Hwa-young! I'm ruined because of you!", "I'm not scared of you anymore!" Jin Hong-ju's desperate cries and even a headbutt heightened the dramatic tension. Her shout of "Chae Hwa-young!" as she was dragged away was reportedly an ad-lib suggested by Kim Min-seol herself, drawing even more attention.
