Jang Yoon Jung's Mom Asks for Money Again

While the police investigation into Yuk Mo, the mother of singer Jang Yoon-jeong, has been suspended due to concerns about her potential death, testimony has emerged that she recently demanded money from acquaintances. According to an industry insider, identified as Mr. A, Yuk had been contacting people every night since April, claiming to have terminal cancer and even sending forged documents, which were reportedly a ploy to extort money from Jang Yoon-jeong. She also repeatedly sent messages hinting at suicide. The insider revealed that the reason the police could not locate Yuk was that she did not use her own credit card but instead used a check card registered under a man's name.

Mr. A stated that Yuk recently resided near Geoyeok Station in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and appeared to be luring people into investments by associating with former inmates. Yuk also continuously badmouthed Jang Yoon-jeong, saying, "​I'll give you information about Jang Yoon-jeong, so keep it. Then you can bring Yoon-jeong down." Mr. A added that Jang Yoon-jeong fulfilled her duties as a daughter by sending money for living expenses and deposits while Yuk was in prison, and expressed regret over the criticism directed at Jang Yoon-jeong.

Yuk has a prior conviction for borrowing approximately 400 million won from acquaintances between 2015 and 2017 and failing to repay it. More recently, she was accused of receiving investment funds under the guise of investing in 'Miss Trot,' using her daughter Jang Yoon-jeong's name. The police investigated this as Yuk's sole offense, unrelated to Jang Yoon-jeong. However, as no traces of her daily life could be confirmed, the investigation was suspended due to her unknown whereabouts.

Meanwhile, other reports indicate that Yuk sent a KakaoTalk message to a media reporter on the 18th of last month and has been unreachable since. Her living activities, such as phone usage and card payment records, are reportedly unconfirmed. In her last message, Yuk lamented her financial difficulties, stating it might be her final message.
