Ham Eun-jung's Drama Hits 6.0% Finale

MBC's daily drama 'The First Man' concluded with a 6.0% viewership rating. The final episode depicted the fates of the characters surrounding Dream Hotel. Chae Hwa-young (Oh Hyun-kyung) was arrested by the police, and Lee Kang-hyuk (Lee Jae-hwang), who had helped her, met his end through a tragic choice. Kang Baek-ho (Yoon Sun-woo became the CEO of Dream Hotel and proposed to Oh Jang-mi (Ham Eun-jung). The two then married, started a family, had twins, and reached a happy ending.

The drama 'The First Man' is a human melodrama depicting the confrontation between a woman living another person's life for revenge and a woman who steals others' lives due to her own desires. It portrays the process of a character who dreamed of ordinary happiness falling after being betrayed by those she trusted, and then reclaiming the life stolen from her by those who brought her down. Originally planned for 120 episodes, 'The First Man' was extended by 20 episodes to a total of 140 episodes due to its high popularity and viewer support. Its highest viewership rating was 6.3%, and the final episode's rating was recorded at 6.0%.

The drama unfolded with various elements, including family history, birth secrets, power struggles surrounding a chaebol family, and conflicts over hotel management rights. In particular, Ham Eun-jung played the dual role of twin sisters Oh Jang-mi and Ma Seo-rin, who lived in contrasting environments, leading the narrative. Oh Jang-mi was a character devoted to her family, while Ma Seo-rin appeared as the chaebol granddaughter and was central to the revenge plot.

Chae Hwa-young, played by Oh Hyun-kyung, met her end being arrested after committing evil deeds for her ambition. Her son, Kang Jun-ho (Park Gun-il), realized he had been used by Chae Hwa-young, shed tears of remorse, and provided the impetus for her decision to surrender to the police.
