Lee Bong-won & Park Mi-sun's Son Choi Sang-yeop Debuts as Actor

Actor Choi Sang-yeop, the son of comedians Lee Bong-won and Park Mi-sun, is gaining attention. Comedian Jo Hye-ryun, appearing on the YouTube channel 'Rolling Thunder,' mentioned that Park Mi-sun's son is using a different surname and working as a theater actor. Jo Hye-ryun revealed that she met Choi Sang-yeop at an audition for the play 'I Love You, Mom' two years ago but had no idea he was Park Mi-sun's son. She praised him, saying, "​He's so cute and handsome, and his acting is really good."

An anecdote was also shared where Lee Bong-won went to see his son's performance but didn't recognize Choi Sang-yeop. Jo Hye-ryun explained Lee Bong-won's reason for not recognizing his son, stating, "He didn't recognize him because his acting was so good," eliciting laughter.

Park Mi-sun recalled that her son's childhood dream was to be a comedian. She revealed that he changed his name himself and is pursuing his acting career without his parents' help. She admitted she didn't know much about the acting field and worried about how to support him, but she respects his decision to forge his own path.

Choi Sang-yeop debuted in 2023 with the play 'The Story of Bae So-goji' at the 'Korea Theater Festival' and has since been actively working in numerous plays, films, and dramas, including 'Body Change' and 'Hamlet Trial.' Born in 1997, Choi Sang-yeop boasts a tall stature of 183cm and a warm appearance, and he is currently signed with Cube Entertainment.
