TV Chosun's 'The Foodie Huh Young-man's Baekban Trip' is presenting a special broadcast to mark the end of its 7-year journey. The episode, airing on the 21st and titled 'Baekban We Loved, A Delicious 7-Year Record,' will feature the tastes and stories of people recorded across the country since the program's first broadcast in 2019. The program has highlighted hidden gems and local cultures nationwide, introducing a total of 1,329 restaurants and 2,131 meals.

In this special broadcast, the show revisits the Jeonnam Gangjin Namdo baekban that was featured in the first episode to observe changes. Along with the 17-dish banchan that garnered attention at the time, the current state of restaurants that received nationwide interest after their appearance will be revealed. In particular, it will spotlight a restaurant famous for its perilla oil buckwheat noodles and the transformation of the Mullae-dong steel alley, which has become a new hotspot with visits from the younger generation. It is expected that the impact of 'Baekban Trip' on local economies and small business owners will be evident.

The production team will reflect on the program's significance by releasing special letters containing the sincere stories of the restaurant owners who have appeared on the show. Additionally, memorable scenes and encounters with the 365 guests who have graced the program over the past seven years will be re-introduced. The warm stories conveyed by foodie Huh Young-man through food and people are also a key highlight of this special broadcast.

The conclusion of this season coincides with artist Huh Young-man's health issues. Huh Young-man suffered a fall accident about a month ago and was transported to the intensive care unit. He is currently focusing on recovery treatment at the hospital. Consequently, his agency, Huh Young-man Company, announced that he will be suspending public activities for the time being.

Born in 1947, Huh Young-man is a master of Korean comics, having created numerous masterpieces such as 'Gakshital,' 'Fly Superboard,' 'Tazza,' and 'Sikgaek.' He gained widespread popularity, particularly through 'Sikgaek,' for his warm portrayal of food and people's stories.
