Running Man's Ji Ye Eun Fails Big Swing Jump

Actress Ji Ye-eun expressed extreme fear before riding the 45m high extreme ride 'Big Swing' on SBS's variety show 'Running Man' and ultimately gave up on the challenge.

In the 'Summer Chucance' special of 'Running Man', after a penalty shootout mission, the members decided the three people who would receive the Big Swing ride as a penalty through the 'Barrel of Fun' game. Ji Ye-eun called out the name of her boyfriend, choreographer Bata, and prayed for a 'Bata Chance', but was ultimately confirmed as a Big Swing rider in the 'Barrel of Fun' game.

Ahead of riding the Big Swing, Ji Ye-eun expressed extreme fear, saying, "I can't ride this. I might actually wet myself on broadcast." As the ride began to ascend, she screamed and pleaded, "Sir, I can't do this. Please give me a moment." Unable to overcome her growing fear as it neared the top, she eventually hung from the rope, cried out "Mom," and shed tears. When the PD suggested an alternative, she unhesitatingly chose to step down, saying, "I'll get off now."

While Ji Ye-eun withdrew midway, Song Ji-hyo and Yang Se-chan successfully rode the Big Swing. The members gave them a warm round of applause for their courage. Yoo Jae-suk particularly praised Song Ji-hyo, who held up the camera and captured vivid expressions even amidst extreme fear, saying, "You could be an extreme sports YouTuber."

Meanwhile, Ji Ye-eun was among the candidates along with members who cheated to score goals in the 'Barrel of Fun' game, but after contemplating where to insert the knives, she was ultimately chosen for the Big Swing ride. The members burst into laughter at Ji Ye-eun's sad, tearful expression upon this decision.
