KBS2's 'Documentary 3 Days' is returning to viewers after a four-year hiatus, with narration by singer Yoo Yeol, actor Park Bo-gum, and announcer Kang Seung-hwa. The program, which aired for 15 years starting in 2007, observes and records 72 hours in a specific location, compressing it into a 50-minute format. It was revived after its conclusion in 2022 due to the impact of COVID-19. 'Documentary 3 Days,' scheduled for 24 episodes, will resume its broadcast on the 6th at 8:30 PM.

The production team of 'Documentary 3 Days' shared their thoughts on the program's return. PD Jo Na-eun stated, "I consider 'Documentary 3 Days' an 'archive of Korean faces' because we have consistently filmed in the most ordinary places," adding, "I believe this is an opportunity given back to us by the viewers, so we must do our best to meet their expectations." PD Lee Yi-baek explained, "I think people are tired of sensational content these days," and "I felt that there is a thirst for genuine stories of others."

The catalyst for the program's return was the special episode 'About Time - A Journey Back 10 Years,' aired last August. VJ Lee Ji-won's promise, posted on social media in 2015, to meet participants from the Andong Station episode again went viral, leading to the production of the special episode and igniting public sentiment for its revival. VJ Lee Ji-won remarked, "I believe many people miss the everyday and the unglamorous."

The production team identified the "power that comes from authenticity" as 'Documentary 3 Days'' greatest strength. PD Jo Na-eun said, "We focus on restoring the originality without distorting time and space through editing," and "The emotions derived from chance encounters at raw, unscripted locations, rather than in controlled situations, are beyond imagination. I shed tears multiple times while editing the first two episodes."

The first destination for the newly returned 'Documentary 3 Days' is bus number 273, which garnered attention 14 years ago as the 'Youth Bus.' PD Lee Yi-baek explained, "Although it's the same space, I thought the concerns of the young people would have changed with the passage of time," adding, "We still tried to capture the passionate and brilliant aspects of today's youth." Notably, during filming, there was a coincidental encounter with the son of the bus driver who appeared in the broadcast 14 years ago, and he was operating the same bus.
