Lim Jiyeon & Heo Namjun's 'Wonderful World' Ending Explained

Actor Heo Nam-jun expressed his satisfaction with the drama in an interview after the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'A Wonderful New World' concluded, stating, "I always do my best in every project, but it's honestly happy when it does well." He added, "​I am 100% satisfied with the ending," positively evaluating the way the latter half of the story was resolved satisfyingly.

Regarding the character Cha Se-gye, whom he played, Heo Nam-jun explained, "He's not a fundamentally bad person. He's a character who wears a tough armor to survive due to a lack of love." He also revealed his efforts to portray the character's delicate side, saying, "​The reason I had him wear a stretched-out t-shirt at home was to show his vulnerable inner self."

He mentioned Dex as an inspiration for his character, stating, "There was a time when I was contemplating Dex's composure. His ability to judge rationally and exercise self-restraint was attractive." He also shared the behind-the-scenes story of the viral lines, "'You're pretty,' and 'You passed,' saying, 'When I was filming these, I think I had completely become Cha Se-gye. I was just spitting out the words I was shouting in my heart.'"

Heo Nam-jun expressed deep trust in his co-star Lim Ji-yeon, praising her by saying, "Watching Lim Ji-yeon, I realized that talented people work even harder. Despite the physical and mental hardships, she always maintained a bright energy and made the set atmosphere comfortable." Responding to Lim Ji-yeon's past remark on a variety show that meeting him was a "miracle," he said, "​On set, I often teased her by saying, 'You're the lucky one to have met me,' but in serious moments, we acknowledge that we are fortunate because of each other."

He named Kim Mu-yeol as his role model as an actor, expressing his respect by saying, "He's fundamentally a good actor, and yet he works even harder. He also looks out for all the actors on set." He added, "​Kim Mu-yeol is living the life of a good person I envision, not only in terms of his skills but also his dedication to his family."
