Park Joon-hyung's '2 O'Clock Manse' Ends After 14 Years

Comedian Park Jun-hyung expressed his regret, sobbing during the final live broadcast of MBC Standard FM's 'Park Jun-hyung, Park Young-jin's Two O'Clock Manse,' which he had hosted for about 14 years. Despite high listenership ratings, the program is ending due to MBC's radio reorganization.

During his final broadcast, Park Jun-hyung confessed, "It's been about a month since I was told to quit," and that the days leading up to the final broadcast were difficult. He revealed his sense of injustice and regret over the sudden decision to end the show, as well as his fear of what to do next. He did not hide his resentment, saying, "Our listenership ratings are much higher, so why are we ending?" and "If I had just 6 more years, I could receive the Golden Mouse award, so why now?"

He bid farewell by saying, "As the moon wanes when it is full, and every beginning has an end, nothing lasts forever," adding, "​Now, at the end of the time I have left, I will tell you about the end of Duman (Two O'Clock Manse)."

With this radio reorganization, MBC Standard FM announced its new program lineup. 'Son Suk-hee's 12 O'Clock,' hosted by Son Suk-hee, will be newly launched, and 'Trot Radio' will change its time slot. As a result, 'Park Jun-hyung, Park Young-jin's Two O'Clock Manse,' which aired in the 2 PM slot, will end on the 28th.

Meanwhile, Park Jun-hyung's wife, comedian Kim Ji-hye, posted a message and photos on her social media supporting her husband's final radio broadcast. Kim Ji-hye sent her affectionate support, saying, "You worked hard. I never imagined it would end like this," and "​I believe your love for music and radio will shine again someday." She also expressed her fervent feelings for Park Jun-hyung, saying, "​Let's hang out with me at 2 PM starting tomorrow. Let's do 2 PM Ji-hye together."
