Choi Hyun Wook & Choi Min Sik: Class of the Last Row

The Netflix original series "The Boy Next Door" has been released. This work is a psychological suspense drama that unfolds around the strange relationship and secrets between Heo Mun-oh (played by Choi Min-sik), a failed writer and professor of Korean literature, and Lee Kang (played by Choi Hyun-wook), a student with a genius-level writing talent. Lee Kang's writing is based on his experiences with his friend Se-yoon, but it raises questions about whether Lee Kang truly considers Se-yoon a friend and what the truth is in his writing. Lee Kang exhibits suspicious behavior, such as peeping at Se-yoon's mother and smelling her clothes, and the suspicion deepens when he is eventually caught in the act by Se-yoon's mother.

Later, Se-yoon's father invites Lee Kang, who lives alone, to his home, where Lee Kang witnesses Se-yoon's father and the housekeeper having an affair. It remains to be seen how this shocking event will affect the story going forward.

Meanwhile, Lee Kang notices Professor Heo's obsession with his writing and makes a request that is difficult to easily accept. After internal conflict, Professor Heo accepts it, marking a moment where the power dynamic subtly shifts between the professor obsessed with writing and the student who has seen through that obsession. This tense dynamic is expected to be the core tension of the work.
