Monk & Guest PD: Lee Kang-in Comparison

Ryu Ji-hwan PD, who directed SBS's "Monk and Guests," praised Woochan of All Day Project (All-Def) after the program concluded. "Monk and Guests" featured Buddhist monk Beopryun as the main MC, alongside Noh Hong-chul, Lee Sang-yoon, Lee Joo-bin, Lee Ki-taek, and Woochan, documenting the monk's 34-year pilgrimage to India. The program ended on the 16th. In an interview with OSEN, Ryu PD expressed gratitude to the cast members, specifically mentioning that it must not have been easy for the young Woochan to be with the older cast members, yet he handled it well.

Regarding the reason for casting Woochan, Ryu PD stated, "I was filming All Day Project for 'Secretary Jin' and became fascinated by Woochan." He compared Woochan to football player Lee Kang-in, saying, "I felt he was on another level." Based on his extensive experience with idols, he thought Woochan was like Lee Kang-in while watching All-Def. Ryu PD highlighted Woochan's strengths, pointing out that "he has a core." While it's natural for someone his age to get carried away, Ryu PD praised Woochan for possessing the risk-taking ability that is often lacking in the younger generation today.

Furthermore, Ryu PD mentioned that his curiosity about Woochan made him want to know him better. Although Woochan was initially hesitant when he joined the program, Ryu PD described how Woochan changed the atmosphere with his drive and spirit, and when he shared his stories, it was like a perfectly structured rap lyric. He felt Woochan's innate talent so strongly that he could sense Woochan's concerns even with his eyes closed. Ryu PD added that he appreciated how Woochan, despite being busy preparing for a comeback, shared his concerns well.
