Han Ji-il Mourns Ock Hee

Actor Han Ji-il has expressed his condolences on the passing of singer Ok Hee. On June 20, Han Ji-il posted on his social media, "My beloved younger sibling, singer Ok Hee, has left our side for heaven. I sincerely pray for the repose of her soul."

According to Han Ji-il, Ok Hee passed away at 8:40 PM on June 20, and her wake will be held at Asan Medical Center in Seoul. The funeral will be conducted under the auspices of the Korea Singers Association.

The accompanying photos show Han Ji-il and Ok Hee, along with Ok Hee's husband, former professional boxing world champion Hong Soo-hwan, posing affectionately together. This suggests the special bond the three shared during their lives.

Previously, Han Ji-il had spoken about Ok Hee's health, stating, "My younger sibling Ok Hee is very ill. My younger brother Hong Soo-hwan is caring for her with utmost devotion." Hong Soo-hwan is known to have stayed by Ok Hee's side and cared for her throughout her illness.

Ok Hee, born in 1953, was diagnosed with kidney cancer last year and had been undergoing treatment. She passed away on June 20 at a hospice ward in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, with her family by her side. She was 73 years old.
