Heo Namjun & Lim Jiyeon's Disappointment Explodes

In the 9th episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama "A Wonderful New World," the past life secret between Shin Seori (Im Jiyeon) and Cha Segye (Heo Namjun) was revealed. Cha Segye confessed his feelings for Shin Seori and kissed her. Cha Segye realized Choi Mundo's (Jang Seungjo) scheme and was heartbroken to learn that Choi Mundo had approached Shin Seori.

When Cha Segye went to find Shin Seori, he exploded with disappointment, saying, "Am I that untrustworthy to you? I thought there would be no secrets between us, but you met with Choi Mundo. I thought I had given you enough trust. How much more like a pushover do I have to cling to for you to open your heart?" He provocatively added, "​I can be used by you enough, so at least use me," and Shin Seori slapped him.

Afterward, Cha Segye held onto Shin Seori and conveyed his true feelings, saying, "I'm completely out of my mind because of you. Whoever you are, wherever you come from, I believe it all. I believe whatever you say, just look at me. Forget everyone else and just look at me." The two then shared a kiss.

The broadcast also revealed the past lives of the two characters. In the past, Lee Hyun (Heo Namjun) cruelly pushed away Kang Dansim (Im Jiyeon) to protect her. Back in the present, Cha Segye was confused as the court lady he saw in his dreams overlapped with Shin Seori. Shin Seori dropped a meaningful hint, saying, "What if it's not a dream? What if I am that Kang Dansim?"

Shin Seori discovered a portrait of herself drawn by Lee Hyun and a half-finished love letter at a museum, confronting memories of her past life and shedding tears. Cha Segye became consumed by the suspicion that the content of his dreams might not be fictional, asking those around him if 'past lives' existed.
