K-Pop Star Jung Sewoon Debuts Short Hair Before Military Enlistment

Singer-songwriter Jeong Sewoon spent a special time with his fans ahead of his mandatory military enlistment on the 23rd. On the 21st, he held a surprise event titled 'D-2', two days before his enlistment, twice at the KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae Live Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

The event, lasting about 80 minutes, was filled with a vibrant band live performance, creating a rich stage reminiscent of a concert. Jeong Sewoon appeared with a shortly cut hairstyle in preparation for his enlistment, drawing cheers from his fans.

He filled the setlist with songs that allowed for deep emotional connection with his fans, including all tracks from his EP 'Love in the Margins', released in March, as well as 'Garden' and 'Always'. Notably, he surprised fans with a sneak peek of an unreleased song, only available at this event, gifting them with special memories.

After the event, Jeong Sewoon shared his thoughts through his agency, saying, "Although it was prepared in a short time, it was so much fun, and I am grateful to everyone who enjoyed it." He promised to reunite with his fans, adding, "I want to do many more fun things together after I return healthy and well."

Meanwhile, Jeong Sewoon, who debuted as a solo artist in 2017 and has released various songs, will fulfill his military duty by enlisting as an active-duty soldier in the army on the 23rd. His agency stated that the enlistment time and location will be kept private as the artist wishes for a quiet entry, and no separate official event will be held.
