Heo Namjun Remembers Past Life, Im Jiyeon Sacrifices

In the final episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Wonderful World," Cha Se-gye, played by Heo Nam-jun, wept as he recalled the pain and sacrifice he endured while pushing Kang Dan-sim away to prevent Shin Se-ri, played by Im Ji-yeon, from falling into a coma. He was emotionally devastated as he regained his past life memories, remembering Cha Se-gye once again.

In the final episode of the drama "Wonderful World," Shin Se-ri (played by Im Ji-yeon) was given a chance to go back to the past and fix things. Sensing his lover's sacrifice, Lee Hyeon confessed to the crime of illicit relations himself to protect Kang Dan-sim. Waking from the dream, Cha Se-gye realized Shin Se-ri was the reincarnation of Kang Dan-sim and exclaimed "Kang Dan-sim" in shock.

The drama "Wonderful World" recorded a peak viewership rating of 13.7% and ranked first in Netflix's non-English TV shows in 44 countries. The drama offers catharsis by featuring a woman armed with pre-modern self-esteem in a modern society that ranks humans by capital. Actress Im Ji-yeon, with her powerful villainous roles and historical aura, carried the will to survive, which she used to carve out a life against the class system, into modern society. Heo Nam-jun proved his potential by lending credibility to Cha Se-gye's growth with his rugged and cool features, distinct from the typical K-romance pretty-boy chaebol.
