Girls' Generation Sooyoung on Jang Wonyoung Center

Girls' Generation member and actress Sooyoung displayed exceptional confidence on MBC's variety show "How Do You Play?". On this episode, Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Joo Woo-jae, Heo Kyung-hwan, and Girls' Generation's subunit "Hyori-Soo" (Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung) watched a performance video of Girls' Generation's hit song "Kissing You" from the past.

While watching the video, Yoo Jae-suk mentioned to Hyoyeon that the concept for "Kissing You" didn't suit her. Hyoyeon honestly confessed, "My heart ached a lot. I wanted to smash all the lollipops," which drew laughter. Yuri chimed in, "My face looked rotten while dancing," and Heo Kyung-hwan remarked while looking at Hyoyeon, "Where is she?", while Joo Woo-jae added, "It feels like you're doing this for money now," turning the set into a sea of laughter. Hyoyeon explained that she had worked hard at the time.

As the video continued, complaints arose about the "Hyori-Soo" members barely appearing. Yuri grumbled, "Why don't we show up?", and Sooyoung agreed, "Hyori-Soo really doesn't appear." After a brief solo shot of Yuri, Hyoyeon's part followed, but before the close-up could properly capture her, the screen switched to a wide shot. Hyoyeon exclaimed, "Why aren't you giving me a proper close-up?"

When Yoo Jae-suk asked Sooyoung why she had so few parts, Sooyoung replied, "I didn't appear, so there was no need for me to do anything." Joo Woo-jae joked, "Isn't it because you're too tall and they couldn't frame you?", and Hyoyeon recalled, "Back then, among idols, she was really a giant." Sooyoung said, "I feel like I was born in the wrong era," and stood up. Haha teased, "Aren't you taller than Kim Yeon-koung?", and Yoo Jae-suk added, "Sooyoung is taller than a houseplant." Sooyoung then amused everyone by actually reaching the ceiling lights.

Yoo Jae-suk explained that Sooyoung was indeed very tall among girl group members at the time. Sooyoung responded, "Aren't there many tall people like Jang Won-young these days?", and Hyoyeon agreed, "Nowadays, those kinds of people are all center." Sooyoung then confidently stated, "If I had debuted as a girl group member now, wouldn't I have been the center?" causing bursts of laughter.
