K-Trot Star Lim Young Woong Hits 13.6 Billion Streams on Melon

Singer Lim Young-woong has surpassed 13.6 billion cumulative streams on Melon, South Korea's largest music platform, setting a new all-time record. This achievement surpasses the previous record held by the group BTS.

As of 9 AM on the 27th, Lim Young-woong's cumulative streams reached 13.6 billion. This is an additional 100 million streams just fifteen days after surpassing BTS's record of 13.5 billion streams at 9 AM on March 11th. This marks the first time a solo artist has surpassed a global group to achieve the all-time number one spot, drawing attention in the music industry.

Lim Young-woong has proven his cross-generational music power with the success of his second full album, 'IM HERO 2'. He is a 'Diamond Club' member on Melon, an honor awarded to artists with over 10 billion cumulative streams, and is currently continuing his pace to reach 13.6 billion streams.

Immediately after breaking the record, Lim Young-woong expressed his gratitude to his fans through his official fan cafe, 'Hero Generation'. He stated, "The number 13.5 billion is still unbelievable.
