BTS V's "Christmas Tree" Hits 500 Million Streams

BTS member V's OST for the SBS drama 'Our Beloved Summer,' 'Christmas Tree,' has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on Spotify, the world's largest music platform. This marks V's fifth song to achieve 500 million streams.

Released on December 24, 2021, 'Christmas Tree' made history as the first Korean drama OST to enter the U.S. Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100' at number 79. It also topped the Billboard 'Holiday Digital Song Sales' chart, reached number one on the 'Digital Song Sales' chart, and charted at number 55 on the 'Holiday Hot 100' chart.

His agency, Big Hit Music, stated, "V has consistently released winter songs filled with warm feelings for his fans," adding, "V's unique deep and cozy voice, which harmonizes well with the seasonal atmosphere, has been stimulating the emotions of music fans worldwide every year."

Major international media outlets have also highlighted 'Christmas Tree.' American publication Elite Daily included the song in its '24 Best Christmas Season Songs Released Since Y2K' playlist, and British outlet Edinburgh Live named it one of the 'Most Popular Christmas Songs on Spotify in 2022.' U.S. Billboard also included it on its list of 'Best Christmas Songs of the 21st Century,' highly praising V's vocal tone and emotional expressiveness.

With 'Christmas Tree,' V now has a total of five songs surpassing 500 million streams on Spotify, following 'Love Me Again,' 'Winter Ahead,' 'FRI(END)S,' and 'Slow Dancing.' Notably, despite its strong seasonal nature, the songs V has sung continue to be streamed steadily throughout the year, regardless of the season, demonstrating his unrivaled digital music power.
