"I Am Solo" Season 31 Backstage Drama Sparks Controversy

Amidst the ongoing backbiting controversy involving the cast of SBS Plus and ENA's variety show 'I Am Solo' Season 31, the comment section of an unaired episode has been blocked, drawing attention. The unaired footage, released on the YouTube channel '촌장엔터테인먼트TV' on the 19th, is titled 'Youngho's Counseling King Moment for the Complicated Yeongsook, with Only YES OR NO Answers' and features Yeongsook confiding in Youngho about her relationship with Kyungsoo.

In the video, Yeongsook mentioned the situation where Sunja and Kyungsoo grew closer after a group date and expressed her concerns, saying, "I don't think their feelings will change just because I try. I wish they would be honest if there's no possibility." Youngho advised her to focus on her own choices rather than trying to change the other person's mind, and to have an honest conversation instead of prolonging an ambiguous situation.

The video became a hot topic immediately after its release, but not solely because of the conversation between Yeongsook and Youngho. It was because the video's comment section was closed. Previously, a scene where 'I Am Solo' Season 31 cast members Oksoon, Yeongsook, and Jeonghee were seen gossiping about Sunja led to a "​bullying controversy." Following this, the production team appears to have taken the step of blocking comments, likely in response to public criticism directed at the cast members.

After the controversy, voices criticizing the Season 31 cast members increased online, with some arguing for the protection of the ordinary cast members. In a recent broadcast, a change in editing direction was observed, with Oksoon's screen time reduced.
