Taemin, contract with Big Planet Made ends
SHINee's Taemin has terminated his exclusive contract with his agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment. Despite having time remaining on his contract, Taemin strongly requested its termination from CEO Cha Ga-won, concluding their partnership of approximately 1 year and 10 months without significant dispute.
According to sources, CEO Cha Ga-won had no choice but to accept Taemin's request. Not only were there ongoing unsettled payment issues, but it is also known that Cha Ga-won committed gross negligence in the process of contracting with external companies without Taemin's consent.

CEO Cha Ga-won has not paid settlement fees totaling billions of won to his artists, including Taemin, Lee Seung-gi, The Boyz, and Baekhyun. One Hundred, Big Planet Made Entertainment, and INB100 are in a state of capital impairment, and it is understood that there are over 10 billion won in unpaid amounts to external partners.
Due to these circumstances, supporting the activities of the agency's artists has become virtually impossible, and attention is now focused on the future endeavors of other artists following Taemin's departure.
