Lee Young Ae & Yoo Ji Tae Reunite After 25 Years

Actors Lee Young-ae and Yoo Ji-tae will reunite in the drama ‘Jae-yi’s Portrait’ 25 years after their 2001 film ‘One Fine Spring Day’. The drama is slated to begin production in 2026.

‘Jae-yi’s Portrait’ depicts the process of two individuals with similar wounds learning to live together. It is a mystery melodrama that reveals tangled fated connections and hidden truths as the two people, left alone in the world, fall in love, promising deep immersion.

Lee Young-ae will play ‘Joo Young-in,’ an art teacher and painter living with the grief of losing her son. She is a character who continues her life by painting murals every sleepless dawn, and she is expected to delicately portray emotions that possess both strength and precariousness.

Yoo Ji-tae will portray ‘Shin Jae-yi,’ the CEO of an architectural firm. He is a character with a gap caused by dissociative amnesia beneath his bright personality, and he experiences confusion and cracks amidst the gradually revealed truths.

With this project already garnering anticipation from within and outside the broadcasting industry solely based on the reunion of the two actors, the emotional connection and acting chemistry that the two characters with different wounds will create are expected to be major points of interest.
