Kim Yong-bin, Trot King for 35 Consecutive Weeks

Singer Kim Yong-bin has proven his popularity by ranking first for 35 consecutive weeks on the global K-pop voting site 'K-Top Star'. He secured first place in the 'Best Trot (Male)' category for the 87th round, with Jin Hae-sung coming in second and Kim Ho-joong in third.

Kim Yong-bin, a former 'trot prodigy', returned to the spotlight after a seven-year hiatus through KBS2's 'Trot National Sports Festival'. He later solidified his position as the 'Trot Crown Prince' by winning 'Mr. Trot 3'. Recently, he held a fan meeting titled 'Sky Castle' to connect with his fans. He is also currently active as a senior master on TV CHOSUN's 'Miss Trot 4'.

'Trot Crown Prince' Ahn Sung-hoon has shaken up the competition by joining MBC's 'The Top Ones' as a new participant. Ahn Sung-hoon, the winner of 'Mr. Trot 2', received praise from Jang Yoon-jeong, who called him "an all-around singer who transcends genres and a consistently perfect performer."

Ahn Sung-hoon expressed his ambition to challenge himself as a ballad singer, not just trot, and chose Han Dong-geun's 'The Luxury of You'. Park Ji-hyun and Baek Ji-young lauded his skills and welcomed him. However, existing participants showed tension due to the possibility of elimination with the emergence of a new talented singer.

As a result, Ahn Sung-hoon landed in fourth place upon his debut, overturning the existing rankings, while Baek Cheong-gang was pushed to sixth place and eliminated. Huh Gak was also shockingly pushed out of the rankings. The five teams advancing to the 'Showdown' are: 1st place Lee Ye-jun, 2nd place Kim Ki-tae, 3rd place Son Seung-yeon, 4th place Ahn Sung-hoon, and 5th place Lee Ye-ji.
