Young-cheol Realizes His Uniqueness After 35 Years

Young-cheol, a contestant on ENA and SBS Plus's 'I Am Solo' Season 30, broke down in tears after realizing his own peculiarities. During a poetry contest held as part of the super date권 (super date권 is a special privilege that allows a contestant to choose a date partner), Young-cheol revealed that he had finally solved a puzzle he'd been unable to figure out for 35 years, understanding why his behavior was considered unusual.

Young-cheol explained, "I thought about my actions in Solo Nation. When all five of them went to talk, I didn't go, and when everyone was sitting outside, I was the only one who came into the dorm. I thought I could just be like Anna from Frozen, so I was looking for colors, but doing those things made me feel like I was the only one doing something strange. That's why they say I'm peculiar. I realized I was doing things my own way."

Young-cheol, who appeared on 'I Am Solo' to prove his normalcy, realized his true self during filming and began to sob uncontrollably, saying, "I couldn't find it for 35 years." He cried, "I'm not normal. This is a side even my best friend doesn't know. I couldn't explain it. I really wanted to solve it."

Defconn commented, "You can see it as realizing a new aspect of yourself by spending a long time with people here in Solo Nation, something that was a 35-year-long homework assignment. These are 35 years of tears. Please understand." Young-cheol added, "I don't remember. It was a complete immersion in myself. When else would I experience something like this? I came with great determination. I wanted to build a happy family and be an ordinary person. I think I'll admit now that I'm peculiar."
