Mark Leaves NCT: Handwritten Letter Released

SM Entertainment announced that after a long discussion with Mark, they have agreed to conclude his exclusive contract as of April 8th. Consequently, Mark will end all NCT activities, including those with NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.

In a handwritten letter, Mark reflected on his 10 years of activities with NCT, expressing deep gratitude to the members, fans, and SM. He stated, "There have been so many stages and memories over these 10 years," adding, "​I naturally began to contemplate what my greatest dreams could be, and what the best things to do and the purpose of living as the person Mark could be."

Regarding his conversations with the members, Mark shared, "Every single one of them supported me." He continued, "​I am so grateful that I could cry just thinking about it, and I will feel sorry forever." He also expressed his affection for the members, saying, "​I am so thankful and love the members who sailed with me on the same ship for the best voyage."

To the fans, he said, "I sincerely thank Czennies, who have made me happy every single day for the past 10 years." He added, "​Thanks to that love and those memories, I exist today." At the same time, he added, "​I know well that this change can be a great shock and pain, so my heart is heavy."

Mark pledged, "I will become a Mark who never forgets my beginnings," and stated, "​I will live my life forever with gratitude towards SM, the NCT members, and Czennies. I will do my best and work hard to become a better version of Mark in the future."
