'The King of the Land' Cast Thanks 15 Million Viewers
Director Jang Hang-jun's film "The Man Who Lived with the King" has surpassed 15 million cumulative viewers. Distributor Showbox announced on its official social media, "The Man Who Lived with the King,' released on Ipchun (the first day of spring), is now preparing to welcome cherry blossoms. We thank the 15 million viewers who have accompanied us on this endless box office journey," along with previously unreleased behind-the-scenes photos from the set.

The released photos capture the friendly atmosphere on set, including Yoo Ji-tae (as Han Myeong-hoe), Park Ji-hoon (as Prince Suyang, later King Danjong), and Yoo Hae-jin (as Eom Heung-do) smiling together while holding flowers. Various on-set photos were also revealed, such as Jeon Mi-do striking a peace sign and director Jang Hang-jun continuing filming while laughing with the actors.
"The Man Who Lived with the King" has ranked third on the all-time Korean film box office list. This surpasses "Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds" (14.41 million viewers), and the gap with the second-place film, "Extreme Job" (16.26 million viewers), is approximately 1.26 million viewers. Furthermore, the film recorded approximately 142.5 billion won in revenue, breaking the record for the highest-grossing Korean film of all time.

To commemorate "The Man Who Lived with the King" surpassing 15 million viewers, previously unreleased photos of actor Park Ji-hoon, who plays the young King Danjong, from when he was 17 years old were also revealed. His agency, YY Entertainment, posted on its official Instagram, "17-year-old Park Ji-hoon, thank you to the 15 million viewers," along with photos of his youthful and cute appearance.

"The Man Who Lived with the King" is set in Cheongnyungpo in 1457 and tells the story of a village chief who voluntarily exiled himself for the prosperity of his village and a young former king who was banished from the throne.
