Jang Hang-jun and Wang Sa-nam Explain the 10 Million Viewers and Tiger CG

The production team of the film 'The Man Who Lives with the King,' which is on the verge of surpassing 10 million viewers, has explained the controversy over the quality of the tiger CG in the movie. Director Jang Hang-jun and Jang Won-seok, CEO of BA Entertainment, addressed the issue during an appearance on SBS Radio's 'Bae Sung-jae's Ten.'

CEO Jang Won-seok acknowledged, "The part where the tiger CG quality is lacking is the responsibility of the producers or the director," but explained, "The post-production time was insufficient because the release schedule was moved up sooner than expected." He added that the film received a positive response during blind screenings for general audiences.

Director Jang Hang-jun also cited the lack of post-production time as a reason, stating, "We had no choice but to follow the distributor's decision on the release date." He explained, "It seems like the film was successful because it was released during the Lunar New Year holiday," and suggested that the box office results might have been different if the release had been delayed.

'The Man Who Lives with the King' is a film set in 1457 in Cheongnyeongpo, depicting the story of a village chief who volunteers to be exiled to revitalize his village and a young former king who was banished from the throne. As of the 5th, the cumulative audience has surpassed 9.77 million, making the surpassing of 10 million viewers highly anticipated.
