Oh Yoon-ah, Daily Struggles with Autistic Son

Actress Oh Yoon-ah shared her feelings about raising her son Min-i, who has autism spectrum disorder, through her YouTube channel 'Oh! Yoon-ah'. The video showed Oh Yoon-ah inviting mothers of children with autism who share similar experiences to talk. Oh Yoon-ah expressed her gratitude, saying, "I'm so reassured to have people here who can share and empathize with these things."

Oh Yoon-ah revealed the difficulties she faces as a celebrity mother, expressing her burden in sharing her daily life. She said, "Many people tell me 'I hope you can be strong,' but some might find me very uncomfortable. I wondered if it was right to reveal these things because many people think, 'Why is she so confident and proud?', or 'She's raising a child because she's a celebrity.'" She added that even when posting travel photos, she worries about receiving reactions like, "Is she revealing a comfortable life? Those who are struggling are struggling."

Oh Yoon-ah married in 2007 but divorced in 2015, and has since been raising her son Song Min, who has a developmental disability, alone.

Oh Yoon-ah, born in 1980, is 44 years old this year. She debuted as a racing model in the early 2000s and transitioned to acting. She solidified her position by receiving recognition for her acting skills in dramas such as 'Into the Storm', 'Old Miss Diary', and 'Alone in Love'.

She married in 2007 and gave birth to her son, but after divorcing in 2015, she has been solely responsible for raising her son as a single mother. She honestly shares the struggles and hopes of being a mother of a child with a disability by revealing her daily life with her son through broadcasts, and she is speaking out to improve awareness of disabilities.
