Singer and actress Son Dam-bi sought professional counseling due to differences in parenting values with her husband, Lee Gyu-hyuk. The couple visited a parenting counseling center to discuss differences in their parenting styles, conflicts in opinion, and the child's temperament versus parental tendencies.

Son Dam-bi stated that she sought counseling to address her questions about their 10-month-old baby and to find ways to coordinate opinions with her husband. Lee Gyu-hyuk mentioned that while Son Dam-bi tends to play with the child 24/7, he believes physical play and independent play are more important for the child, and he wanted to seek expert advice.

The expert emphasized the importance of balanced parenting, advising that it is crucial for parents to understand and respond well to the child's signals. They also explained that it is necessary for the child to have time alone, rather than just playing with a parent 24 hours a day.

The expert stressed that children under five years old form stronger attachments with their primary caregiver, so fathers should also spend sufficient time with their children. Son Dam-bi admitted that she might have taken care of everything, leaving her husband with fewer opportunities to care for the child.

Lee Gyu-hyuk confessed that he felt a sense of disappointment because the child seemed to seek out his wife, Son Dam-bi, more than him, but the expert explained that attachment formation with the mother is a normal developmental process.
