ITZY member Yuna directly addressed and settled the controversy surrounding suspicions of her wearing 'hip pads' to enhance her figure. Yuna, who was a minor at the time of her debut in 2019, garnered public attention for her perfect physique after a period of rapid growth. In particular, her slim waist and unrealistically curved hip line led to speculation that she might be wearing hip pads.

This controversy further escalated after her cover of Lee Hyori's 'U-Go-Girl' performance at the 2022 KBS Song Festival. At the time, Yuna performed in low-rise pants, which further accentuated her hip line.

Yuna recently appeared on the MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' and was asked about this issue. When MC Yoo Se-yoon asked, "There was an issue about you using hip pads, but you settled it," Yuna confidently responded, "So many people said that. They asked if I put them in," and addressing the camera, she said, "It would be good if you watched the 'U-Go-Girl' video once more," dismissing the suspicions.
