28th Season Yeongcheol's Affair Rumors and Divorce Mediation

Youngchul and Youngja from the 28th season of 'I Am Solo' have addressed allegations of infidelity that arose before their wedding. Youngchul posted a statement on his YouTube community page, saying, "Amidst all sorts of speculation about me, I can no longer stand by and am writing this now." He explained that his divorce process "​began with a lawsuit, and after two mediation sessions, it was finalized as a mutually agreed-upon mediated divorce in about 9 months." He emphasized that allegations of infidelity and affairs "​are all false, and no such content is mentioned in the mediation decree." He also warned, "​I will no longer remain silent about actions that defame others with false information."

Youngja also took to her Instagram to address false rumors about Youngchul, stating, "The person who will be my spouse has no criminal record, and the divorce was also processed through a lawsuit, a mediated divorce agreed upon by both parties legally." She asserted, "​The claims of infidelity made by a minority are clearly false facts that do not exist in any legal documents or records," and expressed her hope that stories that are not true would not cause further pain. She added, "​Speaking as if you know without knowing the facts, and expanding and consuming speculation is violence that destroys a person's daily life and heart."

Youngchul and Youngja from the 28th season of 'I Am Solo,' a reality show aired on ENA and SBS Plus, became a couple during the recent "Dolsing" (divorced singles) special and are currently preparing for their wedding. Youngja stated, "My decision to marry is not at all based on economic reasons, dependence, or lack of affection. It is a decision I made after careful consideration, based on the person I saw and experienced, and the way he has shown himself to me."

Meanwhile, the two held their wedding ceremony in January. Many of their fellow contestants from 'I Am Solo' attended the ceremony, showing their loyalty. In an interview after the wedding, Youngchul expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful to Youngja for overcoming the malicious comments and rumors I experienced during the broadcast," and vowed, "​I will embrace and love her as my one and only partner for life." Youngja reciprocated, saying, "​I am thankful to my husband who expresses his love often and gives me reassurance." Regarding the 'affair divorce' rumors about Youngchul that surfaced before the wedding, Youngja emphasized that they were clearly false, stating, "​There is no mention of infidelity in any of the mediated divorce documents."
