The first round of the finals for MBN's entertainment program 'Myeongjeon' recorded 8.54% viewership, breaking its own highest rating. This marks a four-week consecutive rise and continues its streak as the No. 1 Wednesday entertainment program for 11 consecutive weeks since its premiere, as well as the No. 1 program in its time slot across all channels and the No. 1 program among all general programming channels.

The first round of the finals was held with a 'Hit Song Mission'. It was evaluated on a total of 1,000 points, combining the scores of the top professional team (40 points each) and the 200-member national professional team (2 points each). Top domestic composers prepared new songs exclusively for the TOP10.

Jeong Yeon-ho, who kicked off the competition, presented a dance trot stage different from his usual image with "My Love is Broken," composed by Jo Hang-jo. He received high praise from Joo Hyun-mi, who commented, "Despite it being an unexpected dance song, Jeong Yeon-ho's solid basic vocalization stood out," and scored 474 points from the top professional team.

The youngest challenger, Kim Tae-woong, completed an emotional stage with "Naknakjangsong," composed by Kim Do-il, earning 483 points from the top professional team. Hwang Yun-seong turned the venue upside down with "Nallibruse," composed by Gong Chan-su, securing 495 points from the top professional team and landing in the upper ranks.

The eldest among the finalists, Lee Ru-ne, showcased the essence of traditional trot with "I'm Young and It's Good," composed by Kim Do-il, receiving 512 points from the top professional team. Jang Han-byeol delivered a touching performance with "You Are My Star," composed by Lee Ban-seok, incorporating his 16-year journey into the song.
