Indian model Babita Mandava posted a selfie taken in a bathroom mirror with BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa on her social media, with the caption, "Posting because I think it's cute, might delete later." This photo is known as a 'Met Gala bathroom selfie,' which is considered an 'insider's proof shot' among attendees after the Met Gala event and garners attention every year.

In the photo, BLACKPINK members, along with Babita Mandava and actress Rachel Sennott, reveal their unexpected charms with playful expressions and poses. This marks the first time all BLACKPINK members have gathered together on the Met Gala red carpet since their debut, and they captivated viewers with their perfect styling of glamorous dresses, each highlighting their distinct personalities. Vogue Korea also highlighted their combination by posting a photo of the complete BLACKPINK group on its official social media.

Although the Met Gala officially prohibits the use of mobile phones, selfies taken in restrooms have become an unofficial tradition. The use of mobile phones and social media uploads within the venue has been banned since 2015, and there are even unconfirmed reports of unofficial sanctions, such as potential exclusion from future invitation lists for violating the rules. However, many stars, including Kylie Jenner, Billie Eilish, and Lizzo, have continued this 'forbidden selfie' tradition, and this year, BLACKPINK became the latest to join them.

BLACKPINK member Jisoo also communicated with fans by releasing a Met Gala bathroom selfie on her Instagram account. The Met Gala is the world's largest fashion charity event, held annually at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This year's dress code was 'Fashion is Art.'
