J-Hope's Louis Vuitton Sneakers: K-Pop Star's Style

Louis Vuitton has unveiled the 'LV Buttersoft Sneakers', a collaboration between Men's Artistic Director Pharrell Williams and House Ambassador J-hope, a member of BTS. These sneakers had a pre-launch in Korea on the 25th. J-hope has been active as a Louis Vuitton ambassador since 2023, embodying the brand's energy and creativity.

The 'LV Buttersoft Sneakers' originated from custom shoes created for J-hope's world tour, 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG''. They combine the lightness and flexibility of track running shoes with Louis Vuitton's Italian leather craftsmanship, offering both comfort and iconic details. Hand-stitching and hand-painting have been added to achieve a level of finish close to custom-made.

The sneakers are crafted with a resilient layered rubber sole and a soft calfskin suede upper, and express J-hope's unique warm and vibrant energy through a bright rose and white color palette. The broadly woven laces feature a 'Monogram Cloche Cle' tag, with the phrase "Your, My Hope" engraved at the ends, reflecting J-hope's hopeful attitude.

A textile label inspired by the 'Speedy P9' bag is applied to the inside of the tongue in the shoe's design. The leather patch on the outside of the tongue is embossed with a logo mark exclusive to the capsule collection, along with a "Louis Vuitton Paris" stamp and J-hope's signature.

Grosgrain leather patches, reminiscent of Louis Vuitton's iconic trunk details, have been added to the toe and heel of the shoes. Notably, beneath the heel patch, charm decorations in the shape of a squirrel and an acorn are hidden, inspired by comparing J-hope's playful personality to a squirrel character.
