Actor Jeon Won-ju is embroiled in a debate among netizens after a video showed her ordering only one drink at a cafe for multiple people.

Jeon Won-ju's daughter-in-law shared in a YouTube video, "My mother-in-law orders just one drink even when there are three of them. Nowadays, it's standard to order one drink per person, but she tells us to order just one. It seems like frugality is ingrained in her." She added, "I wish she would invest a little more and spend on herself," and showed them pouring the ordered coffee into a paper cup to share.

After the video was released, some netizens criticized Jeon Won-ju's actions, saying, "It's too much for three people to take up a table and order just one coffee," and "How are small business owners supposed to make a living?"

On the other hand, other netizens defended her, stating, "We should understand the habits of the elderly," and "It's excessive to criticize based on just a snippet of the situation," expressing understanding for Jeon Won-ju's lifestyle.

Jeon Won-ju is known to be a wealthy individual with assets in the billions of won and has maintained a strong spirit of frugality, even receiving awards for saving and thrift from the Blue House in the past.
