Ha Ye-rin, Bridgerton's Cinderella

Actress Ha Ye-rin expressed surprise and wonder that the Netflix series 'Bridgerton 4' reached number one on the charts in Korea, stating that the global number one ranking also feels surreal. She has appeared in the American ABC series 'Reef Break' and the Paramount+ sci-fi series 'Halo,' and her maternal grandmother is actress Son Sook.

Ha Ye-rin shared that after watching 'Bridgerton 4,' her maternal grandmother Son Sook sent her a text message saying, "I'm proud. I love you." She mentioned that her grandmother, despite having poor eyesight, watched the show up close to the TV. Ha Ye-rin also revealed an anecdote about her grandmother feeling embarrassed by a certain scene, and expressed a mix of poignancy and pride that she is now known not as Son Sook's granddaughter, but rather Son Sook is known as Ha Ye-rin's grandmother.

Ha Ye-rin, who nurtured her dream of becoming an actress while watching her grandmother Son Sook's plays during childhood visits to Korea, said she felt the power of theater, particularly witnessing her grandmother cry with a pillow in a one-woman show and seeing the audience's empathy. She added that her grandmother has been a great inspiration to her.

Regarding her chemistry with Luke Thompson, with whom she plays the 'Benophi' couple, Ha Ye-rin explained that the filming process proceeded chronologically, allowing them to get to know each other and naturally become closer. She specifically mentioned that they grew even closer during a candid time while filming the lake scene in episode three.

Ha Ye-rin expressed her affection for Luke Thompson, stating that they share a similar sense of humor and that she feels a lot of love for him as an actor she respects and as a friend. She also commented on the immense popularity of 'Bridgerton 4' and replied that she will likely be seen as part of the 'Bridgerton' family in the next season.
