Yoo Yeon-seok's Shaman Role Hits 10% Ratings

In the 6th episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor Lawyer," Shin Sung-rok (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) disguised himself as a shaman to apprehend the real culprit. The broadcast recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 10%, setting a new personal best.

Shin Sung-rok, who had been arrested as a murder suspect, was released due to insufficient evidence. He then made a bold move to catch the real killer in the murder case of a genius scientist. Despite his mother's pleas to worry about him, he solidified his resolve as a lawyer specializing in ghosts, stating, "Listening to the stories of wronged souls is more precious than money or fame."

Shin Sung-rok and his deceased client, Jeon Sang-ho, suspected his father-in-law, Director Kim Tae-joon, to be the real culprit. However, the truth was revealed in the visiting room. When Jeon Sang-ho, possessing Shin Sung-rok's body, spoke a private love code with his wife, Kim Soo-jung, she tearfully confessed to the murder. Her reason for confessing was not that her father was the killer, but a heartbreaking story: her father was the only one who could stay by their mother's side, who was suffering from a rare disease.

Prosecutor Han Na-hyun, noting that Shin Sung-rok knew the exact crime scene, decided to use him as a "key player" in solving the case. The two collaborated to reveal that the reason Kim Soo-jung slept soundly on the day of the crime was due to "chamomile tea" gifted by senior researcher Gu Hyo-jung. Furthermore, based on his demeanor and the autopsy report, they identified Gu Hyo-jung, who was suffering from severe myopia, as a prime suspect.

Shin Sung-rok devised an outlandish sting operation to elicit a confession from Gu Hyo-jung. He used Yoon Bong-soo as a stand-in for the victim and decorated a breeding facility as a "haunted site." Then, Shin Sung-rok, transformed into a shaman, asked Gu Hyo-jung, "Do you still see me as a lawyer?" Terrified, Gu Hyo-jung confessed that he committed the crime, blinded by inferiority and jealousy. During this process, Jeon Sang-ho's anger possessed Shin Sung-rok, who vented his rage, heightening the immersion. At the critical moment, Han Na-hyun appeared and subdued Gu Hyo-jung using attack dogs.
