The movie's success is expanding interest beyond the figure of Danjong to the era and historical background in which Danjong lived. Sales of 'Annals of the Joseon Dynasty Vol. 3: Sejong, Munjong, Danjong' increased by about 800% (about 9 times) compared to the same period last year, and sales of 'Danjong's Sorrow, Sejong's Tears' also rose by about 2700% (about 28 times) during the same period. This is analyzed as an increase in reading demand to deeply understand the history and political background of the Joseon royal family, prompted by the movie.
