In the 13th episode of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Undercover Miss Hong,' Hong Geum-bo (Park Shin-hye) made a groundbreaking counteroffer: she would return the slush fund if Shin Jeong-woo (Ko Kyung-pyo) stepped down as CEO of Hanmin Securities. This episode recorded an average viewership rating of 10.6% nationwide, ranking first in its time slot.

Director Song Ju-ran became enraged upon learning that the slush fund had been withdrawn from Hong Jang-mi's account and that Hong Geum-bo was an undercover securities inspector. Director Song pressured Hong Geum-bo, but Hong Geum-bo proposed returning the slush fund on the condition that Shin Jeong-woo resign as CEO.

Kang No-ra caught wind of Hong Geum-bo and Go Bok-hee's plan and overheard a conversation between Hong Geum-bo and Shin Jeong-woo. During this, she learned about their past connection and the full story of the undercover operation, and she asked Shin Jeong-woo about his feelings for Hong Geum-bo. Shin Jeong-woo replied, "I don't want to repeat my regrets," revealing his remorse over past events and his determination for change.

The confrontation between Hong Geum-bo and Shin Jeong-woo intensified. Shin Jeong-woo attempted to fire Hong Jang-mi, but it ended with her being transferred to a branch due to Director Song's intervention. Afterward, a commotion ensued when Bong Dal-su tried to steal the slush fund, and Hong Geum-bo presented Director Song with a recording of the secret conversation between Shin Jeong-woo and DK Ventures.

Hong Geum-bo proceeded with her plan to eliminate Chairman Kang Pil-beom's closest associates one by one. Director Song reported the recording to Chairman Kang, who then proposed to DK Ventures that they abandon Shin Jeong-woo and join forces with him. Ultimately, Shin Jeong-woo resigned as CEO of Hanmin Securities and broke off his engagement with Kang No-ra.
