"Taxi Driver" actors Pyo Ye-jin and Jang Hyuk-jin will throw the ceremonial first pitch and bat at the opening game of the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League. The two are scheduled to participate in the game between the Kia Tigers and the LG Twins on March 31st at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.

Pyo Ye-jin and Jang Hyuk-jin have publicly stated on various broadcasts that they are fans of the LG Twins. Notably, their "Taxi Driver" co-stars Lee Je-hoon, Bae Yoo-ram, and Kim Eui-sung are known to be Kia Tigers fans, creating an interesting situation where fandom is divided within the team, which recently became a hot topic on the variety show "My Little Old Boy."

On the show, Jang Hyuk-jin expressed strong confidence regarding the LG Twins' chances of winning, stating, "Of course, LG will win. A second consecutive championship." These remarks have further heightened fan anticipation for the upcoming first pitch and batting event.
