Through Instagram, Hyunsook revealed that she hesitated to go public because she is not a celebrity, has children, and didn't have a clear narrative or marriage plans like other contestants.

Hyunsook expressed deep trust in her partner Youngsik, describing him as "a precious person the more I get to know him, and more than I deserve." However, she mentioned that it wasn't easy to rely solely on emotions due to the distance created by the broadcast and the practical constraints of having children. While these circumstances created some distance in their relationship, they also provided more time for each of them to consider the other more carefully.

The video they shared together was of wallpapering a child's room. Hyunsook recounted an anecdote where Youngsik, as a senior with a teenage child, advised her on the need for an independent space for her child. She also stated that Youngsik is humorous and experienced, so she laughs a lot and gains advice when she's with him.

Hyunsook recalled that they had a lot of common ground because they had lived responsibly without the help of others, but because they had grown stronger and lived independently, they needed time to create space in their relationship.
