V, the Moment He Was Chosen as a Miracle Trainee

The story of how BTS member V was scouted as a trainee has been revealed as a "miraculous tale." Japanese outlet Oricon News reported on the process of discovering V through an interview with Big Hit Music casting producer Kim Mi-jung. Kim described meeting V as a "miraculous encounter" and stated that she felt "​Ah, this is the one" at first sight. Despite seeing numerous trainees, she experienced a "​thrill that gave me goosebumps" upon meeting V.

During her early days as a producer, Kim traveled to various regions searching for trainees. She spent a week in Daegu but couldn't find a suitable candidate. In a tired state, she visited a rundown academy as a last resort, but was told there were no young trainees there. However, she didn't give up and asked the academy staff to show her event photos. Kim recalled, "There was just one photo that caught my eye, and that was V."

The photo wasn't of V dancing or singing, but simply showing him with a smile on his face. Based on this single photo, Kim offered V an audition opportunity. She revealed that the moment V actually walked in, she was convinced, "​Ah, this is the one." She described V as "​a truly kind child, with a warm personality from the heart."

According to the report, producer Kim Mi-jung, who discovered members of BTS and TXT, is an expert with 16 years of experience in scouting, nurturing, marketing, creative direction, and universe building for K-pop rookies. HYBE utilized V's charm as the "final impact" to mark the completion of the BTS lineup.

Shortly after his debut, V gained attention for his orange hair and contributed to the group's popularity. In a 2015 interview, RM responded that V "​is popular worldwide." V has since established himself as a global superstar and, even in his 13th year since debut, continues to grow beyond K-pop as an icon.
