'I Live Alone' Ratings Hit 5-Year Low

MBC's entertainment program 'I Live Alone' recently recorded a viewership rating of 4.4%, hitting an all-time low in five years. This marks the lowest rating recorded again just three weeks after the departures of Park Na-rae and Key at the end of last year, and is the lowest performance since the 4.2% recorded on episode 422 in November 2021.

The broadcast on the 27th revealed actor Bae In-hyuk, who has been living alone for 13 years, and his 'Inhyuk House,' as well as Jun Hyun-moo's attempt to replicate 'Cheonhyuterior (Park Cheon-hyu + Interior)'. Bae In-hyuk, introduced through the 'Introducing Our Rainbow Friends' special, garnered admiration for his exceptional solo living skills, featuring a neatly organized kitchen, a walk-in closet, and even nutritional supplements.

Born in 1998, Bae In-hyuk entertained viewers with his charm, appealing to both the MZ generation and older adults. While enjoying 'keycap-mung' with his morning coffee, he also displayed a rustic preference for corn and hot cheonggukjang (fermented soybean paste stew). Witnessing him wash his face mid-dishwashing, Kian84 expressed his satisfaction, saying, "He's a friend who gives off the vibe of a superstar."

Koo Sung-hwan revealed that Bae In-hyuk enjoys old songs and snacks on drama filming sets, earning him the nickname 'Bae-re-shin' (a play on 'Baek-re-shin,' meaning 'God Bae'). This led to a scene where he passionately sang 27 nostalgic songs in his car. Furthermore, Bae In-hyuk showcased his skills as a 'namul doctor' (vegetable expert) by expertly harvesting wild vegetables from his rural home's garden. Spending time with his friends of 20 years, he remarked, "Living alone seems to have made me grow a lot."

Jun Hyun-moo attempted 'Cheonhyuterior,' inspired by interior designer Park Cheon-hyu's style. He went on a shopping spree at a Scandinavian furniture store, searching for 'Cheonhyu items,' but found himself flustered by an unexpected situation. He purchased furniture worth approximately 1.4 million won, only to be shocked when he broke the newly bought lamp while assembling it after returning home.
