As the movie 'The King and the Man' is on the verge of surpassing 10 million viewers, director Jang Hang-jun's heartwarming story has belatedly come to light and is becoming a hot topic. Actor Kim Yong-seok shared an anecdote with director Jang on his Instagram, expressing his gratitude.

Kim Yong-seok informed director Jang of his child's birth during filming, and director Jang said, "Yong-seok, give me your phone. Save my number. If you tell me your home address, I'll send you diapers. You need a lot at first." The next day, director Jang personally contacted him to ask for his home address and the type of diapers needed, and indeed, two boxes of diapers were delivered. Kim Yong-seok stated that through this experience, he felt understood in his loneliness as an actor and his burden as a family man.

The movie 'The King and the Man' mobilized over 2 million viewers during the March 1st Independence Movement holiday, bringing its cumulative audience to 9.21 million. The film has maintained a steady upward trend since its release and is projected to surpass 10 million viewers as early as this weekend.

Director Jang Hang-jun, ahead of reaching 10 million viewers, is scheduled to reappear on SBS Power FM's 'Bae Sung-jae's Ten' on the 4th to discuss 'the controversial 10 million viewer pledge.' He also plans to attend the '59th Yeongwol Danjong Cultural Festival' in April to interact with local residents.

The movie 'The King and the Man,' set in Cheongnyeongpo in 1457, depicts the story of an exiled young king and a village chief. It is gaining global popularity with releases in various countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, and Taiwan.
