Korean Actor Nanning Dies at 46

BJ Nanninggu (real name Han Tae-sik), who has been active as a first-generation game streamer since the early days of internet broadcasting, has passed away at the age of 46.

Internet broadcaster BJ Monkey announced the news of Nanninggu's passing on his social media on the 6th. According to the obituary written by the bereaved family, the deceased passed away on the 5th, and the funeral procession will be held on the morning of the 7th. The burial site will be at Incheon Family Park.

In a tribute post, BJ Monkey added to the sadness by implying that the cause of death was a drastic choice due to debt. He expressed his grief, saying, "He was a hyung (older brother figure) I truly liked and respected. I worked harder watching him, but now I am so upset and disappointed."

He continued, expressing mixed feelings of regret and resentment, "Debt, what is it that made you make such a bad choice? Honestly, I'm angry. What sin did the remaining family members commit? Live your lives forever apologizing." Nevertheless, he expressed his condolences, saying, "Anyway, Han Tae-sik hyung, whom I truly respected and loved, I hope you rest in peace there. I will visit and pay my respects."

The deceased was a first-generation game creator who gained fame primarily through activities on platforms like AfreecaTV and YouTube. From the early 2010s, he presented broadcast content based on mobile games and MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games). Like his alias 'Nanninggu,' he usually wore a white sleeveless t-shirt while broadcasting and gained popularity with his charming wit mixed with a dialect.
