Kim Hee-jung's 'Red Pearl' Acting Stuns

Actress Kim Hee-jung is captivating viewers with her explosive acting skills in the KBS2 daily drama '​Red Pearl', where she plays the role of '​Oh Jung-ran'. Kim Hee-jung has established herself as a central figure in the story by portraying the multi-faceted character of Oh Jung-ran, who stops at nothing to protect her position within the power structure of the Adel Group, with sharp emotional performances.

In the 18th episode, Oh Jung-ran left a strong impression by pressuring the board of directors and meticulously devising schemes to create a favorable situation for herself. Kim Hee-jung, who clearly imprinted the character's personality with her characteristic direct speech and uninhibited attitude, showed Oh Jung-ran's strong drive and unique presence without holding back, declaring "If it's not there, you have to make it" even in crisis situations.

In the subsequent 19th episode, Oh Jung-ran fully embraced her role as a player actively shaking things up. In particular, the scene where she couldn't contain her anger at the news of Kim Myung-hee (played by Park Jin-hee) being appointed president, turning the room into a mess, starkly revealed Oh Jung-ran's inner turmoil. Later, when trying to obtain Choi Yoo-na (played by Cheon Hee-ju)'s shares, Oh Jung-ran grabbed Choi Yoo-na by the hair and fought when Choi Yoo-na insulted her son, Park Hyun-joon (played by Kang Da-bin), raising the tension of the drama to its peak.

In the 20th episode, Jung-ran's ability to seize opportunities from changing circumstances stood out. Upon hearing the news of Park Min-joon (played by Kim Kyung-bo)'s broken engagement, she smiled while thinking of Kim Dan-hee, who must be suffering inwardly, saying to her son Park Hyun-joon, "They say life is a gamble, and the meal prepared by the other side has been overturned in one go."
