Blackpink songwriter Beca Boom claims

American composer Bekah Boom is embroiled in controversy after claiming she was forced to have an abortion by her former Korean agency. She stated that around the age of 18, she received a debut offer in Korea, but contrary to promises, the agency only forced her to focus on composing. When she was offered an exclusive contract, she revealed that upon informing them of her pregnancy, they made abortion a condition of the contract.

Bekah Boom further fueled the conflict by discussing her work with BLACKPINK. She claimed that Lisa's solo song 'MONEY' was released without her consultation, and the profit distribution was unfavorable. Additionally, she stated that during the work on 'Typa Girl', she received insulting treatment, and although all the BLACKPINK members were aware of the situation, none protected her.

Although Bekah Boom did not directly name a specific company, the industry interprets her statements as targeting YG Entertainment, with whom she has collaborated for a long time. In response, online discussions are divided between voices criticizing the agency's treatment and those advocating for caution, stating that these are one-sided claims without concrete evidence. YG Entertainment has not yet released a statement.

Bekah Boom has participated in the production of numerous hit songs, starting with Taeyang's 'Eyes, Nose, Lips' in 2014, followed by BLACKPINK's 'Boombayah', 'DDU-DU DDU-DU', and 'Kill This Love'.
