Rain Takes on Villain Role in 'Hunting Dogs 2'

Singer and actor Jung Ji-hoon, also known as Rain, will take on his first villain role since his debut in the Netflix series 'Hunting Dogs 2'. He will play the character 'Baek Jung', a cruel figure who runs a global illegal boxing league.

'Hunting Dogs 2' depicts Gun-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi), who took down illegal loan sharks in season 1, now engaging in thrilling action against a global illegal boxing league. Season 2 promises heightened tension with an expanded universe and the appearance of even more formidable enemies compared to the previous season.

'Baek Jung', played by Jung Ji-hoon, is a central figure in a dark world where massive viewership and huge bets take place. He stands in sharp opposition to Gun-woo and Woo-jin in a game dominated by money and violence. His first foray into a villainous role is particularly anticipated.

Previously released stills of Jung Ji-hoon show a body drenched in blood and a chilling smile, hinting at the dangerous nature of the 'Baek Jung' character and his overwhelming presence, akin to a "human weapon."

Director Kim Joo-hwan stated that Jung Ji-hoon's ability to handle action and his physique perfectly suit the 'Baek Jung' character. He described Baek Jung as "a ferocious and deadly character, like a giant tiger," and expressed his confidence in Jung Ji-hoon, saying, "Jung Ji-hoon is an iconic actor for my generation, possessing a grand aura, a physique that threatens Gun-woo, and the ability to handle action."
