Veteran actor Baek Il-seop, in his 61st year of acting, addressed rumors of being the "Myeongdong Casanova," stating, "Early in my debut, I drank with weekly magazine reporters, and they wrote whatever they wanted," adding, "I've never even held a broom."
Baek Il-seop revealed that he took a break from activities last year to pursue hobbies like fishing, study, and reflect. He shared his renewed mindset, saying, "I thought about starting again in 2026."

Baek Il-seop, who has been living alone for 10 years, mentioned that he eats rice mixed with water for breakfast or eats with whatever side dishes he has. He said, "When I have a glass of soju at home in the evening, kimchi stew serves that purpose," and when asked about drinking, he replied, "I'll only stop when I'm about to die.
